FAQs
Do you speak English?
Yes, throughout. You deal with English-speaking staff from the first conversation to the last filing, and we handle the Thai-language side with the authorities so you are not translating documents or sitting through meetings you cannot follow.
Is the free consultation really free?
Yes, with no obligation to use us afterwards. Sometimes a conversation is all someone needs, and if that is the case we will say so rather than find you something to buy. If your situation is not one we can help with, we will tell you that too.
Can you handle both the legal and the accounting side?
Yes, and it is unusual. Most clients would otherwise need a law firm, an accounting firm and a visa agent, each holding part of the picture. Here your company registration, accounting and visas are handled by people who can see how each one affects the others.
Do I need to be in Thailand to work with you?
Not for most of it. Company registration and much of the preparatory work can be done while you are abroad, and we act for clients who have not yet arrived. Banking is the usual exception, since Thai banks generally want to see directors in person. We plan the sequence around when you will be here.
Can foreigners own a company in Thailand?
A standard Thai company needs majority Thai shareholding, but there are three routes past that: a Foreign Business Licence, BOI promotion, or the Treaty of Amity if you are American. Which one fits depends on what the business actually does, and it is far easier to settle before you incorporate than after.
How do your fees work?
We quote for the work before it starts, so you know the cost rather than watching it accumulate. Government fees are separate and we set those out too. If something changes the scope, we tell you before doing the work rather than after.
Do I need an appointment?
You are welcome to walk in, and we are at JLK Tower on Sukhumvit, one minute from BTS Nana. Booking is better though, because it means the right person is free when you arrive rather than in a meeting.
What if my situation is complicated?
Most are, in one way or another. Overstays, a company that has not filed for a while, a business that does not fit neatly into a licence category. These are the cases worth bringing to us early rather than once a deadline has passed, because the options are usually better than people expect and they narrow with time.
