Thailand Launches New Digital Arrival Card System – Effective 1 May 2025
The Immigration Bureau of Thailand will officially launch the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) on 1 May 2025, replacing the traditional TM.6 paper arrival card that had been in use pre-covid. From this date, all foreign visitors must complete the TDAC online before entering Thailand, whether arriving by air, land, or sea.
This new digital system is part of the Thai government’s push to modernize immigration procedures, aiming to reduce paperwork, speed up border processing, and improve traveler convenience.
Who Needs to Complete the TDAC?
The TDAC is mandatory for all foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travelers, and long-term residents. The only exceptions are travelers who are transiting through Thailand without passing through immigration control, and those entering the country using a Border Pass.
When and How to Submit the TDAC
You can submit the TDAC within 72 hours before your arrival in Thailand.
For example, if you’re arriving on 5 May, the earliest you can submit is 2 May.
The portal opens for early submissions starting 28 April 2025, to accommodate those arriving on launch day.
To complete the form, visit the official Immigration Bureau portal:

You’ll need to provide:
-
Passport information
-
Travel dates and flight details
-
Accommodation in Thailand
-
Basic health declaration
You can update your details anytime before travel. The form can be submitted individually or on behalf of a group.
📌 Long-term or permanent residents should select “Thailand” under “Country of Residence” once the system is live.
If You Can’t Submit in Advance
While travelers are strongly encouraged to complete the TDAC online before arrival, designated help points will be available at immigration checkpoints for those who are unable to submit in advance due to exceptional circumstances.
For a smooth entry and to avoid delays, submitting the TDAC ahead of time is highly recommended.
