What is a notary, notary public or notary service?
A notary, also known as a notary public, is a person authorized by the government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths. Their primary role is to verify the authenticity of signatures, deter fraud, and ensure the proper execution of legal documents.
Notaries typically witness the signing of contracts, affidavits, deeds, powers of attorney, and other legal documents. They also often certify copies of documents. After witnessing a signature, a notary will affix their official seal or stamp to the document, along with their signature and other relevant information. This seal acts as confirmation that the document was properly executed in their presence.
At Attori Law we are able to offer notary services. Our notary services include free consultation on document preparation as well as the legalization of documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or relevant embassies. We also offer document translation services if applicable.
