BCPG Expands into Green Data Centers, Boosting Thailand’s Digital and Renewable Energy Sectors

BCPG Public Company Limited, a leading renewable energy company in Thailand and subsidiary of Bangchak Corporation, has announced a strategic partnership with National Telecom (NT) to develop green data centers powered by renewable energy.

This collaboration represents a major step in aligning Thailand’s digital infrastructure growth with its clean energy goals under the Bio Circular Green (BCG) Economy Model. The planned data centers will leverage BCPG’s solar, wind, and hydroelectric resources, alongside NT’s telecom and cloud infrastructure, including fiber-optic networks and data connectivity assets.

BCPG’s entry into the sustainable data center market reflects growing demand for low-carbon, energy-efficient digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia. Industry analysts forecast Thailand’s data center sector to grow at 7.5 to 8.5 percent annually between 2025 and 2027, making it a prime destination for ESG-focused tech investments.

The partnership also advances national goals in data sovereignty, reducing reliance on offshore hosting and enhancing regulatory compliance for government and enterprise cloud services.

By merging its clean energy portfolio with cutting-edge telecom infrastructure, BCPG is helping position Thailand as a regional hub for green digital infrastructure, and showcasing how energy companies can drive transformation across the digital economy.

This move solidifies BCPG’s role as a pioneer in sustainable infrastructure development and opens new avenues for growth in both the renewable and technology sectors.
